Kamianets-Podilskiy town hall belongs to civil buildings of the old town. The exact date of the house building is unknown. Some historians suppose that it was in XVI century, the others are disposed to XIV century. From the beginning of XV till the second part of XVII century the Russian and Polish magistrate had been placed in the house, and in XVIII century only the Polish magistrate. That’s why the second name of the building is the House of the Polish magistrate.
In the first part of XV century the building has had two floors and cellars. The tower has stood in three meters from its northern facade. Both buildings had the Gothic style. They were united in the unitary ensemble after the fire in 1616.
