The Pototskiy Palace in Lviv

The Pototskiy Palace is situated in Lviv. The palace had been built in order of count Alfred II Pototskiy in 1889 . The Palace, in style of classicism, was erected on the place of Pototski estate. The French and Polish architects had designed this wonderful palace.

In some time after the beginning of the palace’s building the count had died. The building had stopped. His son Roman has decided to finish his father’s deed.

The palace is built in the French style. Exactly the erecting of this palace, had become the push for the building of Lviv’s buildings in the French style.

The palace’s square is near 3000 square meters.

The palace is situated in the picturesque corner of Lypky. The place is also comfortable because of the closeness to the objects of worship of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. Besides, the palace was surrounded by the beautiful park, created in 1710 by Petro I. The palace has been built on the project of Bartolomeo Rastrelli.
