The Sofiivka Park in Uman

At the end of XVIII – the beginning of XIX century on the right bank of Ukraine some parks typical for the style of classicism were created. They portrayed the romantic spirit of the epoch, the philosophy of the unity with the nature and they most corresponded to the ideals of classicism. Sofiivka in Uman is the example of free landscapecomposition of classicism time, the completeness of the arts view and deeply thought interconnection of relief, water, vegetation, different architectural buildings and sculpture. Every detail has here its own esthetic and functional role. It’s the combination of man-made caves, waterfalls, mountain tops, canals, stone labyrinth, ponds with fountains, pavilions, arbors, sculptures and marble statues of ancient gods and goddesses, philosophers...

The park with forged figures

The park with forged figures in Donetsk is the unique in Europe.

Donetsk has officially entered to the number of the best smith’s cities of the continent. The Europeans were impressed by the works represented in Donetsk Park. They haven’t ever seen such beauty.

The Park is situated in the central part of Donetsk in the public garden near the city hall. This unique park was opened in 2001; the first 10 forged figures have been stood at this time, 19 works and 2 arbours “The Ukrainian” and “Four Dragons” have been added in the next year. One more arbour “The Arbour of in Loved” has been added in 2004 – the romantic and favourite place for just married.
